Message: hi zippy! i really liked your website. i, too, “forget” that i have been served breakfast; my people always seem to remember, though. next time you want to get a the apples on the counter, try pushing your crate over to the counter, jump on top and then onto the counter. it worked like a charm for me the one time i tried it. mom & dad said they weren’t too thrilled with that trick but i heard them laughing about it as they moved the crate into the bedroom. they adopted me just a couple of months ago and are responding to training quite well for such a short time. i can’t wait to go to the lake and see if they can swim! best wishes to you, zippy!

Message: hey zippy, tell simon that although the queen of england loves her corgi’s not all british people do. maybe the party pack artist doesn’t like corgis too much. mom’s english friends explained that the queen’s corgi’s don’t always mind their manners and are known to be snappy. mom replied that the queen’s children aren’t always nice either but she still loves kids. mom says everyone should love corgis!

Friday, June 23, 2006 at 12:03 pm, Pacific Time

Zippy responds: You bet. We like half plain yogurt and half baby food, any flavor, but I like turkey. Stir together, spoon into little cups, freeze. Lick. Lick. Lick. Mmmmm.

Message: dear zippy, how are you doing? i’m pretty good, except for one glaring weakness... i was running by the sharp metal thing by the gate to try to catch a bunny, but after i took a big leap, the metal thingy cut my toenail off!!! this has happened to me before though. they gave me a little cast, but i just tore it off. i mean, who wants to look like a wimp with a cast? not me!!! that’s for sure!!! well... i really gotta get the bunny back! see ya later! austin

Message: hi zippy! i have 2 corgis (one pembroke and one cardigan), 1 beagle, and 1 shiba inu. the corgis are by far the smartest of the group of course. i got a mini cooper so we could all ride around together and so that the pups can see out the windows. they love it! and the best part is that i named the mini after you, kinda. we had to call it zippie though becuase zippy was taken. our pet sitter is branching out and has started a business called pawmo (http://www.pawmo.com/). it is a limosine for animals. so next time we go out of town our pups can ride with us to the airport in style. or maybe i will have the limo pick them up after a day at the groomers. it even has a doggie bar! how cool would that be? to bad you live too far away to ride with us in it.

Message: hey zip, it’s great to hear about mike’s new puppy and remember when we were brought home from the breeder’s home to live with our family. mom wants everyone to know that our local pwc club has an excellent rescue orginization that helps corgi’s that need new homes. here’s their link: http://www.northtxwelshcorgis.org/id4.html mom says that there are lots of great corgi breeders out there helping place corgi’s and that she’s proud to know these people. rescue dogs often come housebroken, which mom says is a good thing!

Message: hi zippy, my dad just got done with putting in a pond with goldfish just for me!!! they have a big one with goldfish, and i was always trying to get them. well, they were worried i would fall in and not get out quick enough, so i got mine own. it’s just the right height for me to be able to get out of, when i fall in. i know, cause, i’ve done it a couple of times already trying to catch the fish. duncan doesn’t pay too much attention to them, so dad says it’s all mine. maybe someday you can visit my pond and help me try and catch the fishes!

Message: hi zippy! i’ve been a fan of you and your website for quite some time now. i adore pembroke welsh corgis and would love to have one! two things are holding me back, though... 1: our lease doesn’t allow dogs (although we might be able to sweet-talk our landlord if we tried), and 2: our 16-year-old cat really runs the place. so for now, i’m happy to live vicariously through you. my hubby is a golden retriever fan, and his running joke is that we’ll get both a corgi and a goldie, and store the corgi under the goldie... what he calls the “space-saving option”. he’s only kidding, but it does make for a funny visual, doesn’t it? take care... hugs & kibble to you! :-)

Message: dear zippy, we havent talked in quite a while!!! i do reccomand doing this in spare time if you live around mountains. it works best in mountains with a lot of rain or snow, though. after it rains or snows, just roll in the mud, and then, when you are done doing that, get dry sand all over you!!! it is really fun! i tried last weekend. and so you dont have to take a bath, get in the river! it is much more manly than a bath!! austin ps-i just turned 4 and i was wondering, how old are you?

Message: Hi Zippy. What a cozy pic of you and your long-suffering wife in front of the fire. I have been making my human suffer as I don’t have a wife. Yesterday, at the pet store, I took a flying leap out of the shopping cart my human was wheeling me around in. That’s a flight/fall of about four feet! Considerable for a corgi! I looked like a heavy flying squirrel. My human screamed, but I’m ok.

Message: Hey Zippy! What’s new? I’ve been busy helping my dad out in the yard. We’ve been having an unusually warm winter here in Ohio, and he’s been getting things ready for the pond he’s going to make bigger this year. I’ve been showing him just how to dig the dirt out for the pond (in fact, I think I’m doing more digging than he is). I can’t wait until the pond is done. Mom and dad have gotten me a little bridge to run across. And they are going to put some goldfish in the pond also. Bet I’ll be able to catch one of those fishes as they swim by. My sister, Chloe says hi and wants to know if you have a girlfriend?

Message: Zippy you are darling and your family sure loves you. We also have a tri-color female who looks so much like you in the face. She also hates the vaccuum, loves goose droppings as neck perfume, and loves to eat. She is the best friend one could have. Unfortunately yesterday she suddenly began to have lameness and apparent back pain. She visited the vet today and was given an anti-inflammatory previcox. If she doesn’t improve soon she will have to have x-rays. I am very worried that she has the Slipped disk problem that some Corgis have. If any ot your friends have any expereince with this please have them email me. Your site helped brighten our day! Thank you.
